Honestly, in 2026, I think the Tesla Cybertruck is very impressive—but not the best value for everyone.
What I like:
- ⚡ Extremely quick: the Cyberbeast can do 0–60 mph in about 2.6 seconds.
- 🔋 Around 320–325 miles of EPA-estimated range depending on trim.
- 🚚 Up to 11,000 lb towing on higher trims.
- 🔌 Very fast charging and useful power-out features.
- 🤖 The technology and four-wheel steering make it genuinely different from traditional pickups. (Tesla)
What I don’t like:
- 💰 It’s expensive. The 2026 lineup starts around $70K before destination/other costs, while the Cyberbeast is around $100K+ depending on pricing basis. (Cars.com)
- 🛻 It’s huge and heavy, so it’s not exactly an easy city vehicle.
- 😬 The styling is extremely polarizing—you’ll either love it or hate it.
- ⚠️ Tesla’s unconventional flush/hidden door-handle design is facing increasing safety scrutiny; China recently ordered a recall involving about 2.98 million Tesla vehicles, though that recall covers several Tesla models, not specifically just Cybertruck. (Reuters)

As a technology statement and fun EV truck: 9/10.
As a value-for-money pickup: 6.5/10.
If I had $80K+ to spend, I’d personally compare the Cybertruck very seriously against the Rivian R1T and Silverado EV before buying.
