Super Easy Peach Cobbler

Posted on May 3, 2026 by foodiefusion

This is often called “Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa” Cobbler because the original recipe was so simple: a cup of flour, a cup of sugar, and a cup of fruit. This version adds a little butter and vanilla to make it truly spectacular, but it remains the easiest dessert in your repertoire. No rolling dough, no fancy equipment—just one baking dish and a bowl.

🍑 The “Dump & Bake” Ingredients

  • ½ cup (1 stick) Unsalted butter

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour

  • 1 cup Granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp Baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 cup Whole milk

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 1 can (29 oz) Sliced peaches in heavy syrup (Do NOT drain!)

    • Or 4 cups fresh sliced peaches tossed with ½ cup sugar.

🔪 Instructions

1. Melt the Butter

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the stick of butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish and put it in the oven while it preheats. Remove once the butter is melted and sizzling.

2. Mix the Batter

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk and vanilla until just combined. (A few lumps are okay!)

3. The “No-Stir” Secret

  • Pour the batter directly over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.

  • Spoon the peaches and their syrup over the batter. Do not stir.

  • As it bakes, the batter will magically rise up through the peaches to form a golden, cake-like crust.

4. Bake

Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the peach juice is bubbling around the edges.

🍨 Serving Suggestions

  • The Classic: A big scoop of high-quality vanilla bean ice cream.

  • The “Fancy”: A dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

  • Warmth is Key: This is best served warm from the oven, but it’s surprisingly good cold the next morning for “breakfast.”

💡 Notes for Your Website

  • Fresh vs. Canned: Canned peaches make this “super easy,” but if using fresh, make sure they are very ripe. If using frozen, thaw them completely first.

  • The Crust: If your readers like a crunchier top, suggest sprinkling 1 tablespoon of coarse sugar over the batter before baking.
